I live the dual life of a composer and a performer- a creator and a re-creator.  However, my creative life is defined by how I seek to merge these pursuits and bridge this narrow gap between artistic conception and realization.  My goal is to always allow as much freedom for creativity as possible in my music, just as I enjoy finding my own way into someone else's music.  I strongly believe that musical performance has a humanizing power.  Notes on a page can only truly come alive if they are performed with a natural, personal conviction, and in my opinion, this conviction is best found by empowering the artist to incorporate their own individual or collective ideas and musical personalities into a performance.  This way, the music will always have a unique yet genuine voice.  I will always welcome new interpretations of my music, and the whole process will always remain both fascinating and rewarding to me.
